The temperature rises, the water quality fluctuates, the aquatic animals after wintering are experiencing a "test of life and death" : the metabolism slows down, the immunity is low, and the bacteria are looking at each other, and the slightest mistake will cause heavy losses!


So, how can we make aquaculture start smoothly and lay a solid foundation for the New Year's harvest?




1. What challenges does aquaculture face during spring?


Large water temperature fluctuations: spring temperature fluctuations, water temperature fluctuations, easy to lead to fish stress reaction, immunity decline.


Water quality is easy to deteriorate: after a winter accumulation, the bottom of the pond deposited a lot of organic matter, as the water temperature rises, these organic matter began to decompose, consume a lot of oxygen, resulting in the deterioration of water quality.


Bacteria breeding: The warm and humid environment is very suitable for bacteria breeding, and fish are weaker and more susceptible to disease after experiencing low temperatures in winter.

Water body management


Progressive water temperature regulation: a small number of times to add water, the daily water level rise does not exceed 10cm, slow down the water temperature changes on the stimulation of the fish body. Do not directly use deep well cold water or external water with large temperature difference, it is recommended to use pre-temperature control treatment of reservoir to ensure that the temperature difference between the water inlet temperature and the breeding tank is less than 3℃.


Strengthen water quality monitoring: regularly monitor water temperature, pH value, dissolved oxygen, ammonia nitrogen, nitrite and other indicators, and take timely measures to adjust water quality.


Water disinfection and pathogen control: When the water temperature is stable above 14℃, POvidone iodine (concentration 0.3-0.5ppm) is used to evenly sprinkle the whole tank to inhibit the breeding of pathogens such as water mold and bacteria. In areas prone to parasitic diseases, an additional 20% of refined trichlorfon powder can be used, dissolved at the ratio of 0.18 to 0.45 g/m3 and then sprinkled over the whole tank. Continue to take medication 2-3 times, usually 7 days apart.


Fertilizer hydroponic algae: The selection of amino acid bioferfertilizer to promote the growth of beneficial algae such as diatoms and green algae, and maintain the transparency of the water body between 30 and 40 centimeters.


Breeding variety management


Reasonable release: Control the quality of fish fry, and according to the individual size, density and variety of fish fry reasonable release.


Scientific feeding: According to the water temperature, weather and fish feeding conditions, reasonable adjustment of the feeding amount and feeding times to avoid overfeeding.


Enhance immunity: Add an appropriate amount of immune-enhancing agents such as multivitamins and polysaccharides in the feed, as well as digestive system regulating agents such as bile acids, and mix Chinese herbs to repair the damaged intestinal mucosa during the wintering period and improve the anti-stress ability.




Third, factory circulating aquaculture, help smooth spring!


The traditional pond farming mode is affected by the weather and difficult to control the water quality, while the factory circulating water farming mode can effectively solve these problems: through biological filtration, physical filtration and other means, to maintain the stability of water quality and reduce the occurrence of diseases; The constant temperature system can keep the water temperature stable and avoid the stress reaction of fish.
