On July 18, 2025, the land-based recirculating water intelligent breeding base for eels of Wuhan Fengpei Intelligent Biotechnology Co., Ltd. located in Xiantao, Hubei Province, witnessed a high-level international academic exchange event.
The visiting delegation this time is the Yangtze River Basin Resources Investigation Project Team of Huazhong Agricultural University & Hokkaido University, led jointly by Cao Yuqiong, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Fisheries of Huazhong Agricultural University, and Professor Tetsuya Mukai of the Faculty of Fisheries of Hokkaido University. Xiao Gangqiang, the Party Secretary of Sanfutan Town, Xiantao City, Yu Tianxiang, the Chief Economist of the Xiantao Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and others also visited the scene, which fully demonstrates the local government's emphasis on the development of this breeding base and related industries.

During the communication, everyone focused on core issues of the industry, the iteration of AI breeding models and other core topics to exchange opinions. Secretary Xiao Gangqiang, in light of the local industrial development plan, provided valuable ideas for the future technological application and transformation of achievements of the base. Deputy Secretary Cao Yuqiong affirmed the implementation results of the base's breeding model.
